LA2DC – a community with no boundaries

LAD2C Community without boundaries

April 24th marks the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and yet genocides are still affecting countless lives and communities.

LA2DC is a cross country cycling and running event that will push the participants’ physical limitations in an act of remembrance and tribute to all those communities that have felt the pain of persecution. Our goal?

STOP GENOCIDES BY RECOGNIZING PAST GENOCIDES.

The Armenian Genocide claimed more than 1.5 million lives.  In the past 100 years, 100 million people have died in genocides including:  the Holocaust, Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda, Darfur, Korea, Wounded Knee.  At this moment, genocide is underway in several parts of the world.

By shining the light on the deliberate killing of a group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation, millions of silent survivors will gain a voice.

Beginning on April 24th athletes will set out from Los Angeles to kick off the marathon to raise awareness to prevent FUTURE genocides. We are building a community that knows no boundaries as we run and cycle to stop genocides. Won’t you Join us?
