The 100 Lives initiative got its launch this week in New York with the backing of actor George Clooney and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The 100 Lives initiative remembers those who helped save lived during the Armenian genocide.
Led by entrepreneurs Ruben Vardanyan and Noubar Afeyan and the President of Carnegie Corporation, Vartan Gregorian, the initiative announced the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity honor, which will be given to those who put themselves at risk for others.
